About This Page: This is a discussion on LA Kings Talk within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. If the entire logo was white and the LA wasn't so goddamn huge... oh and if the LA and the crown weren't seperated by borders, that's actually not that bad...

Well, you gotta have the separation of LA and the logo as a subtle hint of the undeniable impending move to Kansas City.
Wasn't the jersey supposed to have design elements from all three (3) jersey eras? I fail to see the pre-Gretzky era in there, so maybe this is just some random fan's drawing based upon the "pencil-point" that's been mentioned about, and not a pre-release of anything true to form. But, since this is the Kings were talking about, the jersey could suck about as much as our team has.

Wow. Hope they didn't blow their wad on whoever designed that. Unless, of course the ice girls will be wearing that...and only that, then I say money well spent. ;p

Is it really that hard to see?
Pre gretz: Shape and design
Gretzky era: Ignored from a logo standpoint, but I'm guessing a black jersey like berger already reported

Current Era: Crown
I don't see it.
The Gretzky era is the shape (pencil point), and the post-Gretzky is the font and the crown. Where's the original design element? What am I missing? If they used the old crown, then I could see it.
EDIT: Ok, I see it now, but the pictures now showing were not posted when I originally commented.

If you take the original design elements of the original logo:
Shield,Logo,city
Combine the silver and black from the Gretzky, in this case just the black color scheme. The original shield is still represented in this design.
Add the the current logo/font.
That's how you get the possible new design. It's not that hard to see.

the grezty era DID NOT introduce the pencil point as I clearly have shown with the original logo picture.
do you see how there is a banner in the 67 logo of similar shape to the new logo?
do you see how there is a word inside the banner at the top? (kings)
do you see how there is a crown inside the banner at the bottom?
Jeeze the Gretzky era isn't even part of the logo but will be represented in the color and maybe other aspects of the jersey.
I could lay it out more clearly if somehow you still cant pick this up
