Taveras is the only player to beat Gretzky's records in the OHL! That is why he is "overhyped". I want this kid to be good! (both my parents are portuguese and I'm portuguese-Canadian, as is Taveras) so it'd be great to have someone to prevail as a portuguese-canadian in the NHL.
P.S I know Rebiero is Portuguese-Canadian...but I can't stand him.

I say that he was overhyped before and he is not overhyped now. I understand WHY was he hyped that much, but from this point in time looking back, my opinion is: overhype.
My opinion is also shared by majority of pro scouts in this league - it's a fact, that Tavares was thought to be much better talent than Stamkos, but at the moment, most of the teams would select Stamkos over Tavares. You have a problem with that - tell them they are wrong, I don't care.
I want nothing more to see then Johnny T in a Kings uni!
What I'm saying is, everytime I see him, I'm never impressed. But his stats don't like! I guess I never have luck seeing him on top of his game.
I too would love to see him play for the Kings...except that it would mean another horrible season next year, which I don't think I could handle....maybe better to get Stamkos and trade for the right to draft Schenn or Bogosion!
