They also need to get rid of the TERRIBLE and ANNOYING drummers and play better up-beat music, instead of the same old crap they always play when you to go to a game.
A couple thoughts on how bad the Kings production is on the jumbotron for games.
1) The video they project on the ice should also be projected on the jumbotron. People in the lower seating cannot see ANYTHING!
2) Why is there never video of our great history or great moments? How about a Dave Taylor goal with some Marcel Dionne? A Bernie Nichols goal vs Edmonton in the playoffs with a pumpernickel. A Gretzky goal from the countless big ones he scored for us? A Luc goal. The Deadmarsh goal.
Why not let in fans on some of these great images throughout the boring stoppages and promotions to show what great history this team has. Whoever is in charge of this should be fired and replaced for next season!
Agree?
Agree. And knowing your archive from the early 90's you could help them with that. I'd add Butch Goring's Game 6 goal against Boston in there for good measure. Also, I think it would be fitting to throw in a highlight of each of those who've had their number retired.
It would be great to intersperse classic footage with the current Kings. Gives the many new or casual fans some perspective of where we're going and where we've been.
Would putting it on the jumbotron at the same time
affect the quality of the projection on the ice??
I think it might.
I sat in row 12 in the 100's a lot this season and could see it ,of course
it looks better in the 300's where I spent most of the season.
Most people in the lower bowl aren't in their seats when they start playing that stuff anyway.
I was at the Sharks game Thursday and they played an entire trailer/preview/commercial for a movie which I won't name before the 2nd period and to be honest was a bit offended.
Isn't there enough advertising that we are exposed to already? Now we have to have this put in our faces for a what seemed like a full 3 minutes?
I am guessing they can't put it on the jumbotron for a few echnical reasons.
A. the footage being fed into the projector is not a standard video format, it's being processed for the projection set up through a computer like a video wall.
B. The more light you have spilling onto the projection surface the worse the image will look. That is a huge area to cover and any extra light in the room will kill the image quality.
