About This Page: This is a discussion on LA Kings Talk within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. Someone should tell them not to do that anymore.
I am also very disappointed with the Kings Crew trying to start the wave.
I mean, if some schlub who's only ever been to 4 hockey games in his life decides, "Hey, we do this at Dodger Stadium all the time! It should work here too!" then you simply ask him politely "HEY MORON! SIT THE F*** DOWN! THIS IS A F***ING HOCKEY GAME!" and the matter is settled.
But for the Kings Crew, employees and representatives of the organization, to encourage people to do the wave, at an event where something may actually happen in a matter of seconds, is unconscionable.
It gives people the impression that this is something to be done. And that just means that some time during play, to give the team a boost, more morons are gonna try to get this thing going. And more morons will follow them. And then I'm gonna miss part of the game. And then I'm gonna be pissed. And then adgy will be pissed. And I spend enough money on this team already, if I've gotta add bail to the whole expense of going to a game, well, I just may stop going... as often.
Oh, and I have no particular problem with the drummers.
ahh hell, why not..........Im sorry but there is not a time or place for the wave in a friggin hockey game. What the hell were they thinking.........line up the girls and ask them about hockey and i bet half don't know squat about the kings history, like it matters anyway but the wave is frigging annoying, and the kings need to put a stop to that ASAP!!! Do you see the wave in montreal or ottawa? They would laugh at us!!
and what the **** with those drummers before the game? I thought I was going to lose my hearing trying to get to the escalator.
How do we contact the front office department in charge of making them go away?
The drummers are annoying. I mean, I appreciate their skills and what they can do but they have to go.
They were actually at a few home games to start the season and DID disappear during weekday games only. The drummers must have something else to do or something, and only appear for weekend games. I have no idea why they showed up tonight though, since it's a Thursday and all.
As for the wave. I thought it was a bunch of idiots in 302 trying to do it, but to find out it's the Kings Crew of all people... that's a huge no-no.
I already hate the wave in baseball games, and I hate it even more in hockey games.
