Assets Has decent offensive instincts. Works very hard to improve all facets of his game. Can play a sound crash-and-bang game at either wing or center.
Flaws Needs to prove capable of keeping up in the skating department. Lacks the bulk needed for the style that he plays. Is a limited point producer.
Ellis is a good player and all, but he's pretty much a ten a penny player...
they'res a lot of guys similar to him, so i'm suprised he got claimed...
Shame for the Wings tbh, he's been a project for Jim Nill for the last few years, undrafted and made his wy through the ECHL, AHL and the NHL this year...
but then the Wings needed to make room given the iminent signing of Darren McCarty
