Waiting for this trade deadline is slower than microwave burrito time.
I want Blake to go anywhere, net us something good, win it all wherever he is, bring the Cup to the Kettle in MB for a special LGK-only free tuna melt night, and then re-sign for as many 1-year deals as he wants, playing until his late 40s like Chelios or however long it takes for him to raise the Cup in LA. The dude's in good enough shape to do it and knows that even we bitter Kings fans that love to hate him would much rather love to love him. We all, deep down inside, want redemption for the fiasco of '01 so that we can mean it when we cheer and clap for #4 to be retired at Staples. His post-game interview after game 7 of the Avs-Kings series when he said, "I wouldn't wish that on anyone" when asked about playing his ex-teammates...that'll be in the retirement video montage, along with '93, the cup in '01, and the Kings' Cup in '11. I WILL SHELL OUT BIG DOLLARS TO BE IN THE BUILDING FOR THAT MOMENT.
