Let me start by saying that driving 90-100mph for 5 hours is fun and dangerous do and don't ever do it in your life!
I went there with two buddies, non hockey fans. I got two tickets from a 'Yotes STH for $50 and another from another person who had an extra for $20. The scalpers were dumb asses and thought that they can sell me a $55 ticket for $60. I laughed in his face and told him to tear that ticket up because it wont sell anyways.
The outside of the arena was nice they had fountains (like a mini Bellagio) and lots of restaurants to eat a before/after the game. Jobing.com arena was very nice and personally I liked the inside concourse area much better than Staples. The seating arrangements sucked though, I cant explain it but the slope (i think) was very steep on the 2nd level and it looked like the people were going to fall on me. They had the same intro song as the kings (linkin park - no more sorrow) that was lame....
The best thing in the arena were the dancing girls !!! I though to myself we live in Los Angeles, BOOB capitol of the world and we cant find 10-15 girls willing to shake their asses at hockey games? They were smoking hot. Here you go cuz it would be worthless w/o a picture....its a cell phone picture but you get the point. Also they changed outfits after the 2nd period at the start of the game they were wearing skirts, woo-hoo!
Oh, and the line I used was "Ladies? Want to take a picture with the king?" and yes I know they have to take a picture with ANYONE that asks them so if thats all you have to say, move along.

I was sitting three rows up in the upper level and I must say that I enjoyed it when the coyotes scored. Every time they scored one of their rather hot girls came running down to the front of the section right by me and stayed there and danced for a few minutes, a little consolation for seeing my team go down by two goals.
hey, i think youre the guys my friend and i ran into in the sports store after the game. i think we saw you on the 10 in the middle of nowhere on the way home yesterday, too. if that was you, we blew past you doing 80, so 90-100 my ass!
the arena was awesome. i liked watching a game in a building that was made solely for hockey. the people around us were really cool, and the entire section we were in behind us was kids from canada in town for a tournament.
it was great that we could walk 10 minutes to our hotel after the game, too. even better that we stayed up all night watching beer fest, then accepted, then billy madison

I wish we had drivers like that in Europe. 90 mp/h is considered kind of slow here. I'd say one out of five vehicles you see on motorways are going around 100 mp/h or more. Not to mention that traffic signs and rules are more like suggestions and are taken rather lightly.
I drove there one time just to watch the Kings get shut out. No thanks, never again. BTW, that was the infamous LGK trip where the little girl had the "Kings are Loosers" sign! THAT was about the only thing funny that night.

LOL!
Yeah, I was once in a car like this one:
...with my CRAZY friend, and we were going 100mp/h. Yes, it was a bit of a downhill, but...it was almost a ****ing russian roulette with all six bullets in play...damn!

Were you there for the Road Kill event? I wish Mike would get another one of those going again. That was when they were still at the America West/United Airlines arena. I think it was the game that the Kings were up by 3 goals or more and Phoenix came back and won in OT.
Pardon me while I laugh here. To drive that far for a game and the only picture you come back with is with hot girls? Seems you could have stayed home to do that and save on gas.

I was in such a car with a schoolmate, too. We were driving from Jesenice to Lesce in reverse gear, because that was the only one working. Ah, crazy times, I don't see Renault 4 cars anymore. Very rarely.
