It was nice to see JMFJ get a chance to play his game instead of being shackled to a pure defensive role for a change. It was great to see him doing what he does best. GREAT goal with the cannon shot and he showed some real heart at the end of the game.

If he keeps following up ****ty games with games like this, this kid's not far away from being "the guy".

And if Barbs provides goaltending like he did vs. Vancouver, hopefully it means JMFJ getting greenlit in the offensive zone more often.

Here's a fun stat.

Jack Johnson has scored BOTH his career goals so far in Vancouver only.

1st career goal was back on 10/19 which was assisted by Calder and Armstrong.
Then tonight... his goal was assisted by Frolov.

He must like to play in GM Place or something ;-). We went up to Vancouver last April to watch the game (it was like JMFJ's second game pro). He didn't score but he played very well that night and I was watching him every shift. Those Vancouver fans must really get him fired up.

That was a great shot he scored on. Talk about picking your corner! JMFJ played well tonight.
