I'm itchin' to hear exactly what he said about Carolina. Some Carolina fans seriously need a dose of reality regarding how that all went down. Their front office totally blew that whole situation.
They make it real easy to understand by painting the picture of Jack as a kid that was born to play for Michigan. It's almost as though his goal was to be a Wolverine and the NHL was a bonus/afterthought. So to have the Hurricanes demanding him to sign almost on the Draft stage was just too much too soon for him. Props to Jack for not selling out and for keeping his word to the school.
Someone from FSN said they just relayed what Jack told them, so I guess he is under the impression that "JMFJ" originated in Michigan since that is probably the first place the HE saw it. Not that it matters a whole lot but . . .

They obviously didn't do much research into JJ before drafting him. If they had done even the most rudimentary checks they woul have realized there was no chance they were going to get him for at least a couple of years.
And Rutherford's "lose the tie" quip was the height of stupidity. If i'd been JJ at that time I'd have thought at the time, "there is ZERO chance I'm ever signing with this asswipe."

I'm also curious to know at how exactly the family reacted to the Hurricanes continuously calling for Jack to sign IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WOLVERINES season. I recall either frickin' wolvie bringing this up in one of the most informative threads he started on this Hurricane vs JMFJ business.
At any rate will somebody PLEASE put this up on Youtube. I saw the sneak preview and that was great. But for fans that live outside of SOCAL we would like to see it too! It would be greatly appreciated.
