A year? How about 1 period. Johnson has looked immensely better in the 3rd than he looked in periods 1 and 2.

I think it's definitely time to get Jack some major PP minutes. Please.

JMFJ looked good in the third. He got green lit to take the puck in deep and did pretty well with the puck.

AND WHAT ABOUT Teddy Purcell!!! Go Figure, Coach Crawford...you play the kid on the 4th ****ing line and he's barely noticeable.

Then, he gets on the PP and he nearly scores not once, not twice but THREE ****ING TIMES in the third. +

It's amazing how much Jack Johnson looks like an NHL defenseman when the shackles are removed.

Purcell continues to impress when he's got some room on the ice. He should have a big year next year.

remember when o'sullivan came back form his demotion last year. everybody was wondering wtf was wrong with him, and then we found out that crawford had told him to focus on his defensive responsibility. so he did. and completely disappeared offensively. i wouldn't doubt it if someone told me the same was being pushed on johnson and purcell. from the st.johns link in the "like a dream" thread, purcell is quoted saying "They want you to get in and forecheck and be responsible in your own end. If you make mistakes with these NHL guys, it's going to cost you. You don't want to be a liability. Hopefully, if I tighten those areas up, I'll have a pretty good career up here." sounds like he's getting "reminders" about his defensive responsibilities.
