So, before I satart this out I will address the fact that the majority of the people on here are not the biggest fans of Sean Avery....and I will also address the fact that yes, I don't have very many posts.
HOWEVER...
I suggest you listen up.
When Avery was traded to New York his game picked up, that's no secret. In an interview during the playoffs last year he said that in LA he was put on the reins too much and was on too short of a leash and how in NY, he can be himself on the ice....Thus, resulting in his improved offensive numbers in spite of being out with injury most of the year.
Now, I believe our friend Jack Johnson is in a similar situation.
Last night while watching O'Sullivan get taken down with the knee to knee and seeing Brown skate from the other side of the ice to his aid....I noticed how Jack was literally standing right next to where the 'hit' had happened. What did he do? Nothing. Hell, even Kopitar got in there, but not Johnson.
Throughout his whole career Johnson has been somewhat of an aggitator and as he showed last season he isnt afraid to drop the gloves.
With this being said I know Johsnon was asked not to fight and I know that we as fans don't want to see him in the box all the time but in some situations I am bewildered and why he doesn't do anything, and my only solution to this problem is that Jack can be more himslef on the ice when he isnt restricted.

I didnt get to watch the game and i missed O'Sullivan being run, but if the game was tied or 1-0 having a player of Jack Johnson's caliber off the ice does not help the team at all.

The Kings are NOT making the playoffs. I'd rather see guys sticking up for each other and sending messages instead of racking up meaningless points.

Neither does having a player of Dustin Brown's caliber...

I've seen JMFJ defend the others. What was he really going to do with Brown all over Volchenkov already? Take another penalty or get a third-man in? I think if he was to get in there first, he would have done more.
But I do agree with you, he should be allowed to be JMFJ and not just Jack Johnson.

Apparently JJ doesn't realize where we are in the standings and in fact, the Kings are being a little selfish when they win games. JJ regardless of the score, it was still early enough for him or anyone else to throw a beat down when one is warranted. The offender, name skips me now, got off lightly. He knee'd one of our studs, it wasn't as though it was Army or Cammy. That crap has to be answered to...... And hell yes, bring back Avery. Just let him play his game. And bring in Orpik!
