Where I worry about this team and their development is looking at Phoenix and how they have improved this season, I know they got Bryzgalov, but I am just worried that our progress is not matching that of Phoenix. As I recall, we were projected to be a bubble team and Pheonix was predicted to be very low in the conference. I cannot figure out why they have jumped right over us and are playing as well as they are. It is frustrating, I hope they prove me wrong in the next two years. It is games like this one where we are so badly outplayed that I worry about our future. I am not bailing on this team but I do question more after games like this. Granted they had a good road trip and first game home, but these last two games vs. phx have just been too much of a reminder of what we looked like in November, which in effect ended our season.
This game was uncomparable to the game in Phoenix. We battled in that game, we didn't on this one.
When are people going to stop over-reacting everytime we have a bad game? This has been the first honest to god bad game we've had in a while, get over it people. See a forest, not the trees...
One of the main reasons we were slated so high at the season's start was because our D looked solid on paper. And it did, but as the season progressed we realized our D was awful.
PHX already built up a solid D core over the past 2 seasons. They just had the right timing with Mueller, Hanzel, Vrbata.
Our time will come. Hopefully after the deadline DL will bring up more youth to fill holes for the remainder of the season.
deadlast and your saying this is their first bad game in a long time? the season has been filled with bad games. they can't sustain a solid game plan. they lose momentum and have no idea how to regain it. they really need to start making moves. but alls not lost. I mean its only our 15th year of rebuilding.
