At 3-0 I was starting to FF when Phoenix had possession of the puck behind their net. After 4-0.. I was pretty much Fast forwarding until I saw an LA power play or fight.
What a horrible game.... I just didn't want to subject myself to that stuff for the full 60 minutes.
What I do when the Ducks get worked over is FF when they are down by 2 goals in the 2nd period or later. I'll will only stop for a fight or a goal by the Ducks and I'll start playing again when they are within one. However, I have to be in a pretty bad mood for this or pressed for time. I like to see how things go down and why they happen.
I watch/tivo all the games, then search through afterwards for the goals, hits fights, etc. Tonight it took me all of 3 minutes to transfer the Dallman hit, Ivanans fight and the Brown hit (for future videos). That's all that was worth keeping.
i start to skip at a 3 goal deficit anywhere before 10 minutes left in the 2nd. in the third, if we are down by 2 with less than 10 minutes to go, i'll also start to skip.
FF level 1 after any whistle until the puck is dropped again, FF level 2 through replays or any "features", FF level 3 for any commercial break, FF level 4 for intermissions. i have this down to a science...i can watch a game and completely enjoy the experience in about 1:20...though last night i stayed up to watch in real-time and felt pretty stupid by the middle of the second period.
I Tivo every game that I go to (which is all of them because I'm a STH), but I only re-watch the victories. I can't put myself through the losses again; I'm not a masochist. When I can't catch a road game live, I Tivo it and only FF through the commercials, intermissions, etc. As a Kings fan, I feel the need to watch every second of every game at least once, regardless of the score. Maybe I am a masochist...
In the past and up to the first part of this season, I was still in school so literally didn't have the time to watch every game, I'd fast forward when they were down by 3...
Now that I have more time, though, I try to watch every minute that I can, as much as it may hurt sometimes.
