And as fine a coach as Dave Tippett is, if the Stars can't escape the first round this spring, the team will likely go in another direction

I think the Kings played some of their best hockey during his short stint as head coach when Murray got in to that car accident.

I think Tippet would be a huge upgrade behind the bench. His teams play well and he seems to get the most out of of his players

Crow is just not a good coach...I welcome stability as well, but stability under someone who has all the intangibles to lead an NHL team on a nightly basis.

Besides I hate Crow's shirt/tie combinations, they're hideous.

As for Tippet, I have to agree in that i would welcome him back with a red carpet whenever he wants...

Hell yes, which begs the question: do players or the team in general have any significant input on the coach's performance and general handling of the team that management may use to decide when to part ways? I hope it takes more than a losing season(s) or streak(s) for Lombardi to assess that Crawford is not the right coach for the team.
