Maybe Marleau IS on the block despite the denials.
Blake already turned down DL once when they had a deal for Nabby last year.
Will Blake turn them down AGAIN?
The only way I see Blake going to San Jose is if he has handshake deal with DL to bring him BACK next year - If I were Blake, I'd ask for a TWO year deal, which DL is likely to give him given his past track record of multi-year deals to players who don't deserve it.
Is it worth it Kings fans? To keep an overpriced Blake for 2 more years for the hope that San Jose deals us Marleau or a couple of their kids?

Do not want Marleau. The Kings should view Blake as a person who is winding down his career. Based on the play of Johnson, Harrold, the movement should be look to the future.
The Kings have a lot of potential in Manchester and in junor at defense.

Concur 100%. As bad as the Kings need a 2nd line center, Marleau isn't the solution, too streaky, plus it seems he's lost his heart & drive.
Hmmm, Marleau is a very streaky player and you could argue that he's lost his drive but a change of scenery could be huge for him. I don't really want him either, but I wouldn't be surprised that if he were dealt he would tear it up with his new team.
Personally, I'd like to go back to last year and get Nabby but since that isnt going to happen - Id give them Blake for someone like Setogucci, or Carle or something like that. I concur that our defensive depth in Manchester is good - and that we will probably draft Doughty (sorry Stamkos lovers) so Id like a scoring forward (or Matt Carle - hes gonna be real good I think) in return for renting Blake for the Cup run.
