The kind of guy that you can't sign because he stays with the team that drafted him for his career, because he puts fans in the seats and is an absolute franchise player.

Let's think long term. In order to win the Stanley Cup you have to beat the best teams. The best team in the near future should be Pittsburgh.
The Kings were never going to beat Pittsburgh by outscoring them, Stamkos or no Stamkos. The only hope of the Kings beating the Pens in the 2011 finals is to be deeper and have better defensemen.
Between Johnson, Hickey and Bogosian, the Kings should have a chance. Plus, the second pick won't get a ridiculous financial package, so the Kings should have plenty of money to keep all the young player we have now.
