wow another trade deadline and another dissapointing effort from the front office. just like in years past the teams ends up not doing much. the management for this team is pathetic. ya they have prospects and draft picks but they have had that for years and still cant manage anything. the problem with prospects is that they are just that a prospect. everyone remember Pavel Rosa? a huge prospect and nothing. The front office couldnt manage to fill a diaper. oh well there is always next year which will be the kings 16th year of rebuilding. GOOD JOB TO EVERYONE IN THE FRONT OFFICE FOR SITTING ON YOUR ASSES AND DOING NOTHING!!!!!!
He could have done better. I think he learned today that trying to get deals done at the deadline is way too difficult these days. He made the Conroy and Avery deals ahead of the deadline, and got ample return.
I don't doubt the effort, the man lives in his office. I think that when the time came, he wasn't getting the return he wanted for players and had to settle for what was on the table late in the day.

``Whenever you're in these situations, you have to make sure to do the best you can in terms of getting in the market and talking to everybody over the last 3-4 weeks. You're satisfied in that you looked at every angle and did everything you could.
I think the problem with DL is that he picked up a bunch of over priced, low producing players that he can't get rid of. Shall we just change this rebuild to a 10 year rebuild now?

The last I checked, the Kings held onto Kopitar, Frolov, O'Sullivan, Brown, Johnson, Cammalleri, Purcell, Moulson, Hickey, Bernier, Moller and Boyle. So how does not trading your top young players and prospects make it that it's going to be a 10 year rebuild?
