Having some social skills, unlike the rest of you, I decided to introduce myself. They were both surprisingly nice and friendly and even let me sit down at their table and have brunch with them as long as I paid the table bill. So of course we started talking hockey. We talked about the Ducks season and playoff chances. Perry told me real funny stories about last year's Detroit series. If only you guys knew what goes on during the games off camera.
Eventually, I started to ask them what they thought of the Kings. Before I could even finish my question, they both stopped me and began talking about Ersberg. Both were so impressed with his play. Perry was saying how Ersberg was like a sponge, that he's never seen a goalie with as good rebound control. Getzlaf said that Ersberg was so good with his glove and positioning that there weren't any holes in his game. They both thought if the Kings kept him, that the Kings would be a .500 team next year.
Then I asked them if they didn't think going top shelf wouldn't be a problem for Ersberg. They both had a puzzled look on their faces and asked what I meant. I told them how us Kings fan were speculating that once the opposition started shooting top shelf, that Ersberg would be exposed. It was like I revealed the secrets of the universe and for the first time anything was possible. Apparently, they never realized this apparent hole in Ersberg's game. Things started making sense for Getzlaf, he said that looking back he did see the top corners open for goals. Why he didn't see them at the time he doesn't know. Both ducks said that they would spread the word about Ersberg and that hopefully by the mid season next year, all of the NHL would know of Ersberg secret.
Anyways, we finished our meals and I got the check, it was over 120 dollars. I paid the bill and we all left 5 dollars for the tip. I asked Perry and Getzlaf to autograph the back of the bill as a memento for me. I have the bill with me now, so if anyone doesn't believe me, I'll gladly photobucket it.
So they LET you sit with them as long as you paid the bill.........and they each left only 5 dollars for the tip on a 120 bill? I'm not doubting you but if they're as cool as you say i think THEY would have the social skills to at least pick up some of the tab, they do make millions. And you got a nice little autographed dollar out of it too...how cute.
F*** those two. Not only are they ducks, they're cheap as hell!
P.S. when the bill came did Perry tell you that "you're gonna get it" and that's why you paid?
Why he didn't see them at the time he doesn't know. Both ducks said that they would spread the word about Ersberg and that hopefully by the mid season next year, all of the NHL would know of Ersberg secret.
Now all we need is for Ersberg to play in the NHL next season!
