If its one thing we need is decent D-men
Blake-old, slow and only so-useful
JMFJ- IMO our best defenseman other than blake
Modry- He does more to hurt us that i ever could have imagined...
Stu- Playing good as-of-late, earlier in season was pretty horrible...
Preissing- Solid 5th or 6th D-man, no more
Lubo- he is a 4th forward more than he is a d-man
Campbell would be a great addition obviously, but you have to wonder what kind of offers he'll get on the open market. Pay him too much, then what do you pay JMFJ in a couple of years? That being said, at some point DL's gotta be willing to out bid someone for some serious talent.
If Campbell is refusing to discuss an extension with the Sabres, it may be partly because they're a crappy team, and he's looking to move to a contender. Hard to imagine him putting LA on his short-list if that's the case, regardless of how close anyone here thinks the Kings are to contending for a playoff spot.
EDIT: OK, the Sabres aren't that crappy, but they're gonna need some help to sneak into the playoffs.

Campbell is a good d-man but the last thing the Kings need is another smallish offensive minded guy. Not sure if Calgary would go for it but i wouldnt mind trading Cammy and Dallas's 1st for Regher. This would then enable them to trade Tanguay for another d-man giving them a chance to stay out of cap hell.
i think he actually wants to worry about playing and helping the team try to get into the playoffs more than ongoing contract negotiations, i wouldnt read too much into it
QUESTION about Bernier - Can the Kings call up Bernier to play with the Monarchs in the playoffs once is Junior season is over? I remember the Kings bringing up a couple of young college players in recent years after their seasons were over but I don't remember any from juniors and escpecially not one that had a 10 game tryout in the NHL the same year.

That is a hell of a lot for Regher. Why does everyone under value our players, picks and prospects?
