I've liked the guy since he was drafted but its going to cost LA something to get something AND we are moving players from a strength of what we have right?
Cammi's got one year left on his deal and coming off this fiasco of a season for him I'd have to say his value is low (but I'm not saying its zero). And just HOW helpful is that Dallas pick going to be?
You have a shot at grabbing a dman arguably close to the draft stature of JJ with that 3rd pick.
Forwards LA has and seemingly there are a fair amount on the way (Purcell, Moller, Simmonds, Lewis, Holloway).
If Boyle gets it done, don't you have to make this deal?
Why so much on these 2 D-men??? How many D-men in the last 10-15 years have been picked in the top 5 and been very consistant to elite Defensemen????
D-men need time to developeinto NHL D-men, just like goalies need time to develop. Forwards can makle the jump faster and have a better impact. I still think DL should try and up to #1 and get Stamkos - I am sick of accepting for 2nd tier players....players that will need 3-5 years to develop -
Why cant the Kings get the Ba!!s to get the best player out there??? McNall did it...even if it wasnt his money.....
I like the idea of trading the Dallas pick to move up, but I'd rather DL package it with one or more of our various draft picks in this draft to do so. IMO, if you make a "Cammalleri" trade you do it for a more established player.
BTW, I don't think DL would need to move all the way up to #3. A move into the #5 or 6 spot would probably get you Luke Schenn.
