Let here some realistic trade ideas on what exactly DL would need to do to move up into the top 5. Also in play is will one of the 3-6 picks be used to select Filatov? Anyhow love to hear your ideas.
i'd say something along the lines of a top prospect, Dallas' pick AND the Kings second rounder... at least.
no i don't think Filatov is on the Kings radar, and depending on where they can land that extra pick, they'd likely be targeting another one of the defensemen.

I tend to agree....I think you would be looking at the Dallas pick as well as the Kings second, probably an extra 3rd or 4th rder as well as a top prospect-maybe Purcell? Id hate to lose Teddy but the fact is he did sign as FA and all of those Dmen are top tier franchise type Defensemen. The Kings would really have to pony up.

I actually think he is... the two positions we need are LW and Defense. From what it sounds like (unlike Cherapanov) that this kid has a really good attitude. A huge plus for Lombardi. If Lombardi can get an agreement out of him that he will sign/honor a contract, my opinion is that he would pull the trigger. To get the best D-guy and the second best forward would be quite a coup.

i'd be more inclined to see Moulson and/or Harrold go in that deal rather than Purcell.
to atlanta- Dallas pick, cammi, harrold, 3rd round pick
LAK- 3rd overall, garnet exelby/valabik
Atlanta has been looking for someone to play with Kovalchuk. It has been suggested that cammi might fit : Off-Season Game Plan: Thrashers
They are also looking for a Puck moving D-man. That where Harrold comes in. I wouldnt mind taking harrold and the dallas first out and putting Visnovsky in, but I do not think that atl would take on his salary.
coming back would be the #3 pick and a physical d-man that we need.

strangely enough, you hit the pocket vortex deal... an overpayment by Los Angeles, yet i wouldn't do it if i were Atlanta.
