It's simple really; a random selection of walruses (walri?) are placed inside a cubed enclosure along with 36 balls of meat (numbered 1-8 for the teams in the draft). Each ball of meat has a number on it (8 balls with #1's, 7 balls with #2's, etc...). If the Kings get last place, they get eight balls. The balls are simultaneously dropped into the walri enclosure. The balls that are last remaining and last to be eaten determine draft order. So if the last ball was #1, the Kings would get the first pick. If the second to last ball left was #2, the Lightning get the second pick. And so on... |
