About This Page: This is a discussion on LA Kings Talk within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. Since I couldn't watch the game, and since I don't want to confuse myself with reading GDT thread...I'll ask here.
Is he better than Stuart? That'
I was looking for Harrold during the pre-game warm-up and he wasn't out there, which begs the question "why bring him up to sit?" "Is there a trade coming?"

I agree on the "why bring him up to sit" aspect, but chances are, with Klemm being sent down and Dallman hurt, they simply needed a body, just in case.

I'd love to see him get a shot though.
I'm sure the Kings don't want him sitting too many days, so he will get his chance. Maybe with Blake getting hit with all those pucks last night they will give him a day off and put Harrold in. What the hell, the Kings are out of the playoff race and I'm sure everybody wants to see what Harrold can do in the NHL. Pair him with JMFJ and lets see what Jack can do as a leader on a D-line.
The edmonton announcers mentioned it as a whole, but I would think since the kings are on a western Canada road trip, DL particularly wanted Purcell and Harrold to be on this trip so they would be exposed to the extra media attention and the different Hockey atmosphere in Canada (instead of a long road trip by bus in the AHL). Instead of bringing up Zeiler/Klemm for emergency recall, perhaps this was a lil reward for them doing well this year and getting them some good experience at the same time?
I thought Harrold looked really composed out there last night. I figured he was going to buckle when one of the attendants offered him a hot dog, but he stayed the course and only got a sprite. I thought he passed well, giving a copy of an autographed photo to a fan in the fourth row. His shots were on target as well--I think he was using a Cannon SD600 to get some artistic fan reaction pictures. In all, I'd say it was a good showing.
