Go ahead. I dare you.
I don't think anyone should be too worried about the Kings winning a few games here and there. Come deadline, most of the following players will be gone and will be replaced by prospects, picks, and trash:
Blake
Stuart
Nagy
With most (if not all) of those guys out, the Kings will have a hard time even getting to one goal games. We will most likely end up with the least amount of points giving us the best chance at the lottery. The rest is up to the Hockey Gods.
you are dreaming if you think Armstrong and Modry will be gone. DL has a hard on for these two and no team in their right mind would want these two stiffs..
It's as if you're saying is that among the three untouchables (Johnson, Kopitar, and Brown) there are the likes of Modry and Armstrong as well?
If the offer is good, I'm willing to bet my last penny that Dean will not hesitate in pulling the trigger on a trade. I hardly doubt that a capable GM like Dean will pass on a chance to improve his team just because the guys he's trading away are "cool".
Modry has had a decent season. There are 29 other teams in the NHL who scout the Kings. They know how well he's played. He brings some responsible defensive work along with PP capabilities. I doubt anyone looks at him as a stiff.
Armstrong is a projected second to third line center in the NHL. I'm sure there are a few teams out there that could use him for a playoff run. Aside from the fact that I think he sucks ... he works very hard and never gives up. He could be attractive to some teams.
I'm not saying they'll both be gone... but don't be surprised if at least one of them is dealt.
Modry is a STIFF and is constantly out of position. Watch how many goals are scored against the Kings and how many of those while he is on the ice, he is either standing in front of our goalie so he can't see the puck or his man is two steps ahead of him and just scored. Armstrong, because he hustles does not "project" him as a 2nd or 3rd center. He cannot finish and is slow. I don't doubt his potential as a coach someday, but I can't see any team in contention wanting him for anything other than the 4th line. He is good in the locker room but for as much ice time he gets on the PP he just doesn't cut it. There are 4 guys in Manchester that should be in his place, knowing this, how would anybody want him for the NHL roster????

Andy Murray would. He loved Army, and he's AM's type of player.
