When I seen Cloutier win a game and only let one goal in I was pinching myself to see if this was true...and it was...but I knew it was a matter of time before we got good ol Clouts back!!!!
With a 3.81 goals against average in 5 games and a Save % of .878, its like he never left us at all!!!! We basically need to score 4 goals each game just to have a chance at winning!
So this is an appreciation thread for Clouts! (Insert Stamkooooooos image here)
I realy feel pitty for the guy, but this is sport. He was handled tons of chances to get back with this recent ones. If he has cca. 87% at the end of this season,, than i say kick the guy or atleast get him face the truth, that he is backup at best.
Oh, yea... we know now that it wasnt helmets fault last year. He is supose to be 100% healty now. Atleast thats what I think, since I red the article where he wasnt pleased with long reabilitation time they put him on when his wife and him got a child.
Bottom line he is only human, but he is suposed to be a professional too.

I have to admit. As much as I wince having Cloutier in the net and how bad it was for us last year, he cannot be held 100% accountable for the plethora of goals being scored against recently. Sure 25% of them can easily be called old-time Cloutier bad goals, but most of them have been him being left out to dry by a poor King's defense. We are almost pure offensive defenseman and not to mention extremely young now with the loss of Modry and Stuart.
Now all we have is 37 year old timin' Blake, then 29 year old Preissing, 31 year old Visnovsky, and then a bunch of rookies/fringe players 27 Dallman, 24 Harrold, 21 Johnson, and 38 Klemm. The ages and experience are all over the place with a third still learning defense, another third not particularly known for defense but offense, and then another third who were great at defense but are now aging and having their defensive skills slip little by little.
While I definitely wouldn't spare Cloutier all of the blame, he certainly isn't the biggest factor in the King's recent losses in my opinion.
