I went to Vegas this past weekend and a Las Vegas local was discussing the possibility of a hockey team with her boyfriend and he mentioned that there was a rumor about the Kings being moved to Vegas. I guess the rumor is not only on this side of the state line. I'm sure most of you are aware of this but I thought I'd posts anyways....offseason sucks, even 204 is playing replay games.

Vegas can get in line behind some other city that also features an AEG run arena.
Those locals don't know what they're talking about.
And Oscar Goodman now wants an NHL teams cause it's more likely than an NBA team and he's come to terms with that finally. Originally he said that he hated the game of hockey and could get it to come to Vegas in a second but didn't want it here.

Honestly, I'm at the point where I wouldn't be surprised. If you look for events in the LA area (like concerts and such) they are all in Anaheim and other areas outside of LA. We don't even have a football team. LA is no longer the entertainment capital it used to be.

If it's true that events are going elsewhere, which I'm not convinced it is, it's because Southern California has a **** TON of people everywhere.
You have a contiguous metropolitan area from Ventura to San Bernardino and from Palm Desert to Irvine of 17.5 million people!
By the way, LA is the most underutilized sports market in the country.
Los Angeles seems to have everything a marketing executive could want. It's big (metro population: 17.5 million) and loaded (combined annual income: almost $600 billion).
But it doesn't have pro football.
It should, though. Los Angeles is the most attractive place in America to put a new professional sports team, specifically a National Football League team, as determined by a Bizjournals.com study.
