Wonder why DL doesn't trade all those ****ty excess goaltenders?
Because:
1) Only Cloutier and Aubin are actually ****TY. Aubin is backup for only one year, and Cloutier isn't realistically movable.
2) Ersberg? First year in AHL, and not exactly old, eh?
3) Taylor is on a great form recently in the Manch.
4) Zatkoff, Quick, Bernier...all young and with potential, especialy Bernie and Zatkoff.
5) Labs is just fine as a #1 on our team at this time.
So...not really a bunch of ****ty goalies if you ask me...

Isn't it kinda hard to ignore that Cloutier is making $3.1m this year and he's on the hook for next year too? The highest paid goalie on this team? In a cap era, that's big money wasted.
Aubin has been much less than expected, as has been Quick, Brust, Fukufuji, and put almost any Kings goalie on this list.
This year has been JLB's year to shine, but it really hasn't happened has it? How many points has he stolen?
JLB had all last year to stew about how DL made the "mistake" of leaving him in Manchester because he would never clear waivers because someone woyuld have grabbed him because he's too good and he'll be someone's #1. He played great - in the minors. This year, with the #1 job basically handed to him, he has looked very average in net. Sure the D exposes him way too much, but what else is new?
Hopefully, Bernier and/or Zatkoff are the real deal, and they can turn this goalie mess around. JLB is not the answer, IMO.
If DL can improve the D, maybe give JLB a second chance next season.

I think you missed this day of school. Albatross's salary DOES NOT count against the cap this year provided he stays in the AHL. Yes, he gets paid that amount. No, it doesn't count against the cap.
I think if he were to be recalled then some sort of proration would go against the cap...should that call up result in him making it to the Kings roster. There is always the possibility of him being pick up by some other team and only 1/2 his salary would count against the Kings.
You're right about one thing: Paying Albatross something, anything, is a waste of money. Cloutier sucks.
Cloutier is past. He's a mistake. And DL hopefully learned from that mistake (And therefore let's ****ing hope that he doesn't trade for Emery!!!).
MY POINT WAS that I strongly disagree with your "Excess of ****ty goalies". Cloutier&Aubin aside, but Aubin goes away after this season anyway...
So I have no f'ing idea why in the Hell did you mention Fukufuji and Brust. And mentioning Quick in the same sentence as Brust and Fukufuji is somewhat blasphemous...
Dude, Quick is 21 ****ing years old, and you put him in the same basket as Aubin, based on what, 3 starts in the NHL? Way to go.
And how could you expect anything more froom these 4 is beyond me.
And JLB is not the answer? He IS for this season. If you deny that, you are an idiot, sorry.
Next season? JLB stays, that's for sure. #1 or not, we'll see, but if DL makes some moves to solve D problems then JLB definitely deserves another chance (Even if DL doesn't do that he deserves it). And it's too f'ing early to say JLB will not be the answer in the future. He can be. Is he going to be? We'll see.
He HAS looked VERY average this season as a #1. Average. On a team, that is dead last, and with one of the worst defenses and PK in the league.
You know, he's kinda 22nd in S%, with the names like Lundqvist, DiPietro, Hasek, Nabokov, Kiprusoff and Ward being either close or behind him.
And don't even mention GAA, because that will improve when our team's D improves.
