Just watched his start in Vancouver and don't let the score confuse you. Jimmy Howard is going to be a star in the NHL. Now I understand why they resigned Osgood to a 3 year extension. He will be backing up Howard for the next three years.

Stuart, Nagy straight up for Howard would be fair in my mind. No chance they will move him though.

Howard was very close to making the team, yet they did not want to risk putting Hasek on waivers. They liked Ozzie and he looked better than Dom in camp so the tandem would have been Howard and Osgood this year. This is the last year of Hasek's contract and Ozzie has always played good backing up the Wings. His dad (who was at the last Wings game at Staples with the other player's dads) told my dad that he feels comfortable there and wants to play better for these guys.

why would the kings go after a young goalie when bernier is sitting right there, kings need more jack johnsons, not another jonathan bernier.

Works for me... I don't want to put all my hopes on one goalie (Bernier) after all the years this org hasn't had a decent prospect.

Multiple prospects at the games' most important position.... is a good thing.

You mentioned this to me at the game the other day, I've been thinking about it, and I like this idea. I think a Harding/LaBarbera or Harding/Cloutier (or Harding/Ersberg) would be nice to have next season. Harding is ready. He's probably available.

What would Minnesota want in return, though?
