Just wanted to send a HUUUUUUGE thank you to rinkrat and the mods for doing what you do and keeping this little dysfunctional family going.
Let's have a good game today (definition of "good" not get completely blown out of the water) and Go Anyone But the Ducks.
The Following 3 Users Say Thank You to A-FROGIRL For This Useful Post:
This is the first year I've been able to really follow the Kings and their games (thanks sopcast). It's been a real pleasure, for the first time since I became a fan 15 years ago, to actually see them play games. I had high hopes for this season, I thought we'd be in the fight for a playoff spot but I was way off. And the way things are looking, our team will not change a whole lot next season which probably means another bottom 5 year. But who knows what will happen, if they somehow get their defensive act together and are able to maintain decent goaltending anything is possible.
A big thanks to everyone involved here at LGK and thanks to the young guns of LA Kings for keeping the game interesting.
I actually enjoyed this season a lot! Got to see 3 games live!!! thats a record high for me! and Enjoyed the last one especially cause it was the first time I got to see the Kings win!!!!
A huge thank you to RinkRat for maintaining and offering us this haven for us fans who have commonality of passion for the Kings. Living in Ontario, Canada, it's hard to talk to someone else about this team. Thanks to ALL the posters who keep me entertained all season long. You guys are what makes this board so addicting and so homey. Can't wait to see who the Kings draft (crosses fingers for Stamkos) and can't wait till the 08/09 season to start! Keep on postin'!

p.s A speacial thanks to JackJohnsonFan/Justin, not only did I have an excuse to visit Yost Arena for the first time, but you offered the opportunity to meet Jack Johnson, and it was AWESOME! Thanks for that and also your informative posts, I really hope to see you posting more often!!
07/08 is a season I'll never forget!!!

I think I'm in the minority when I say that I enjoyed this season more than the last and couldn't have asked for more progress from our "core."
Next year should be what all the "experts" predicted this year would be, provided we strengthen our D in the offseason. Barring a deal for a goalie that can't be passed up, JLB and Ersberg (while not cup-contending goalies) should be able to carry this team to the playoffs next year.
Much thanks to the numerous LGK members who provided me tickets to all but a handful of games this season... you all rock!
I would say "And good riddance", but the young'ns made some big strides this year.
Yep! And we can actually say for the first time in a LOOOONG time that we have a good young core. I just hope we don't trade most of them away before they truly hit their prime.
