For all the **** our captain has taken this year, the last month or so he has turned it around 180 degrees.
He hits harder, just ask Todd Marchant.
He doesen't take **** in front of the net, just ask Corey Perry.
He isn't afraid to drop the gloves, just ask Matt Cooke.
And his shot from the point is dead on, just ask the pipe over the right shoulder of J.S. Giguere.
The man and former myth in Los Angeles has turned his game around completely and the rest of the King defense has followed suit.
Just ask Travis Moen after a freight train wearing a number 6 stepped into him at the red line, oh wait, he's probably still trying to catch his breath.
The fact is Rob Blake has taken a lot of criticism this year, and for good reason. He was flat out terrible. Instead of battling for the puck, he would back away and swing his stick. He would defer to Visnovsky every single time on the PP.
It's good to see that Rob has started to turn it around and it is now obvious to me that someone will want him come the deadline......

Blake has played pretty angrily these last few games. Against detroit he decked Kronwall AND Giuliano with one hit. and today he decked some ducks a few times as well...I like it.
I'll give it up when he agrees to a trade to the Rags for Staal, another prospect, and their 1st in 08, and then proceeds to get hurt and they tank and miss the playoffs.

So now cross checks to the face in front of the net are cool, rob blake is past his prime time to let him go
It's Blake's JOB to clear the front of the net if it means
protecting his goalie and or teammates so yeah, if it means
a crosscheck to the face of an opponent, then it IS cool.
Our goalies and forwards have been doormats for this entire
season. To me it says that he cares about what happens to
his team-he's the flippin' CAPTAIN! Haven't people been bitching
and moaning about him not being agressive enough and now
that he *IS*, it's uncool-people need to make up their minds
as to what they want Blake to be. Beside, it was a Duck that
took the hit...we all know he walked into Blake's elbow. <grin>
