Read this and got to thinking. Take your pick, justify it.
Biased much? I'll be the first one to be honest and I'm prepared for any flame coming my way but Getzlaf is one hell of a player that was recently on the top 10 players that a team could be built around. I love me some Anze but if we are to be honest, Getzlaf would be the better pick in the end.
OK. you post a King vs. Duck on a KINGS website. I say Anze wins this one.

Well my friend, I think in the end Kopitar is the better pick. As for right now it has to be Getzlaf. I just see more upside and maturity in kopitar. Getlaf is more physical yes but anze has better play making Capabilities. that being said, note that kopitar has the same height and weight as (the former M.V.P.),( and arguably the nastiest player in the league and best in the world) Joe Thornton. The average male human body does'nt stop developing until the age of 24, so he can still get bigger. I doubt but hopefully he'll develope a mean streak, but even if he does'nt I still beleive he will contribute more to his team the Mr. Getlaf in the near future.

Don't get me wrong Anze has impressed me since his first NHL season. He is far ahead of average at an extremely young age. If I was to weigh pros v cons I would probably have Getzlaf the more significant player as an all around player. Painful to say since he's on the Ducks but all biased aside he is a great player.
Both are good. I'll admit that I underestimated how good Getzlaf would be (is). However, I'm sure people understand, that Kopitar wins on the Kings board and there's nothing wrong with that. Kopi is a King and that's gotta mean something! If we won't like our players, who will?! Of course it's not just homerism all the way, I do think Kopitar will be better, he has a couple of years advantage over Getzlaf.
I think the biggest plus for Getzlaf is not how he plays at the moment, but his superb play in the playoffs. Of course we can't give a minus to Anze here, since Kings haven't been in the playoffs recently. We'll see.
