I know, I just remember him more for letting in a certain shot from the red line against the wings, or for Matt Cooke tying up game 7 with 2 seconds left only to have Cloutier let in the first shot in overtime, those kind of things. You can make a bunch of saves and get a really good GAA and save average, but it's the 'clutch' saves that get remembered most, and I don't remember Cloutier being very clutch.
The red line goal needs to be let go, plain and simple. I have seen Luongo, Broduer and Roy let in pretty ****ty playoff goals. And as for the game 7 where Cooke scored only to have the Canucks lose in O.T. against Calgary, a certain ALEX AULD was in net, not Cloutier. He had played very well in that series before he got hurt in game 3 and was out for the rest of the series. Cloutier also had very many "clutch" saves in his tenure here in vancouver and he has showed that same brilliance this season so far, congrats Clouts, I'll remain a fan through the thick and thin.
