About This Page: This is a discussion on LA Kings Talk within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. Oh well. Better than last night. The difference - 1 soft goal allowed by Labs versus 0 allowed for Boucher. Oh, and 18 TO to 6 for SJ.
wow what a frustrating loss. seems like we outplayed them enough, at least to get a point and go into OT.
were you watching the same game that I was. They got beat in the corners, sloppy passing, played to the outside every time they had the puck, couldn't put a breakaway pass together to save there lives and anything else you can think of.
Well, he hasn't embarrassed himself or made a bonehead play so that's good. But I don't think he's ready for the NHL just yet. Playing 9 games at this level won't hurt him at all though. If anything it will help his game for the long-term.
He's 20 years old, so there's no 10 game limit to his time on the Kings. He can come and go from the AHL freely...
I think.

Let's not forget that SJ has a very, very good team and they do have a little something to do with the Kings not being able to get the puck and themselves into scoring positions very often.

Yeh.........which points to the fact that we did not indeed "outplay them". They owned us.
I noticed that there were many times where during the breakout forwards were tapping their sticks for passes from the D and the lanes were open but the D didn't make the pass. I understand most of these guys aren't "puck moving defensemen" but that shouldn't mean they can't make a pass up the ice to an open teammate.
