Friday, March 19 thru Sunday, March 21: Beginning at 9pm and continuing thru Sunday, Metro crews will be replacing the Blue Line grade crossing at Alondra Blvd. and completing systems maintenance between Imperial/Wilmington and Artesia Stations. During this period, Compton Station will be closed and both the northbound and southbound Blue Line tracks will be out of service. Buses will be used to provide service between Imperial/Wilmington and Artesia Stations around the closure. Passengers will experience travel delays of up to 30 minutes throughout this period and are advised to allow extra time to complete their trips.
Blue Line passengers will board buses at the following locations:
* All Northbound passengers will get off trains at Artesia Station and board buses at the Metro (130/205) bus stop. Buses will travel to Compton, boarding and alighting on Compton at Willowbrook Ave. East, and then continue to Imperial/Wilmington Station (15-18 minutes).
* All Southbound passengers will get off trains at Imperial/Wilmington Station and board buses at the West Plaza Bay #11 & 12. Buses will travel to Compton, boarding and alighting on Compton at Willowbrook Ave. East, then continue to Artesia Station (15-18 minutes).
Train service between Imperial/Wilmington & 7th St./Metro Center and Artesia & Long Beach Transit Mall will run 12 to 15 minutes during the day and 20 minutes at night.
