DL can't get an extension

DL can't get an extension of his contract - and he didn't deal him today. So he's going to have to do something and I'm guessing that its the draft where Dean will use his biggest chip.
Maybe it won't be to necessarily get that top pick - but I can see him being moved to get one of those prime dman prospects.
Is it possible that we could wind up with 2 super huge prospects at this next draft? Maybe that's the plan.
I guess Cammi could go at next years trade deadline (super sarcasm here)?

What are the options here guys?
You don't trade Cammy for picks. Even if its a top 5 pick. Can Purcell pick up Cammy's production? How about Moulson or Boyle?
I think he couldn't get what he wanted to on the market because Cammy's been sick and then in a slump. I think he'll attempt to deal him before the draft or during the summer.
The gameplan for Cammy is if he wants a big paycheck and a stanley cup he had better work his ass off next year and when he is traded as a rental he better prove himself elite in the playoffs so he becomes a premier forward. Otherwise, his previous work will be seen as a fluke and his one-knee shot will be mocked for all time.

I'm never wrong.
And for what we would want in return, nobody is going to give that up atthe trade deadline. Teams looking for rental players are not going to give up a 1-2 Dman or 1-2 Center. I agree with the draft day deal, seems like a perfect time to fill a hole

You trade him along with some picks for:
1a/1b Center
1-2 dman
elite Goaltender
Getting that Center will probably be the easiest since a offensive player is returning in Cammalleri.
I think a deal involving Cammalleri, a couple prospects(excluding Purcell, Bernier, Hickey) and a couple picks will be enough to take a high dollar Center off of some team's hands.
My ideal trade looks something like this:
Cammalleri
Boyle
TJ Fast
Our 2nd(31st overall)
Detroit's 3rd(88th overall)
