The fallout from losing its New Jersey casino license will force the owner of Tropicana casinos in Atlantic City and Las Vegas to seek Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, the company said Monday.
Quote:
Scott C. Butera, the company's president . . . urged current patrons of the Tropicana and the company's other casinos to keep coming.
"This is the first step in making things much better," he told The Associated Press in an interview Monday. "I'd encourage them to remain a customer of the Tropicana, and I'm sure the customer will be rewarded as we do better things and invest in our assets."
Yeah read this yesterday... Chapter 11 is for reorganization so doesn't necessarily mean the end for the Trop. That said, it doesn't mean the company won't sell off it's property. I think we all know the Tropicana has been on it's last leg for quite some time. I've been saying for a while that the Trop is the next property to go in LV. Prime real estate and not as popular as others equal soon to be gone. If anything happens it aint gonna get change drastically in 5 months.. Keep an eye on the room rates though, they may be going down very soon!
This sounds freaking awesome. I just recently turned 21 so this is going to be my first FF. I had a question though on how exactly to purchase the tickets through LGK. I didnt see a link in the email that was sent, and I was just wondering if there was going to be a link from the LGK homepage on how to purchase the tickets starting on monday?

Rink Rat will usually start a thread regarding tickets and how much to send and his email address so you can pay him through paypal. So look for that on monday... Then he sends the tickets when they get sent to him which is sometime toward the end of summer usually... Easy and you pay less in service fee's then through ticketmaster...
My niece is turning 21 the day of the game so it will be GREAT! Looking forward. Don't book your hotels yet, it is too early!!! The prices will go down.

I have been noticing that the best deals only go for about 60-90 days into the future so we might have to wait till July for a killer rate.
