I cannot see even Dean Lombardi passing on Stamkos... if he does I would start a mutiny of bountiful proportions! See how I changed it from Mutiny on the Bounty? Clever I am.

He's made it clear for a very long time he is going to address the team needs from goal on OUT. Offense will be the LAST thing he addresses.
There's no secret there (less you have been believing the LGK collective), and he's been honest about the way he drafts and he has a plan and is sticking to it.(so far, time will tell, things can change very quickly in the NHL)
What more would you ask of a GM anyway?
Save you a lot of mutinies though if you wait until you hear it from DL BEFORE putting any stock in rumor mills.

Good thing DL is "erring on the side of Defense when it comes to this draft".
I am sure the other top 5 picks would also love to be on some team that is not the Kings. If the Kings end up picking number one overall, they would be stupid not to take him.
