About This Page: This is a discussion on LA Kings Talk within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. There are so many threads and comments about bringing back Ex-Kings in the off season lately.

There are so many threads and comments about bringing back Ex-Kings in the off season lately.
I know it hurts, believe me.
I'm not gonna do the math, or evaluation in excel, no.
I have better things to do with my time than dream about being a GM from this hockey hotbed that is Southern California.
Ah, California Dreaming indeed, but I digress.
Return performers to date have yet to pay off. (no offense Luc and Blakey but facts is facts)
Outside of getting picks or what is now known here as "stop-gap" players (more kool-aid please),
there is a reason these old Kings were released or traded in the first place.
I'm not saying there weren't blunders or oversites along the way (please see Huet and Jokinen),
but for the most part...TK, Modry, Lundmark, Stuart...c'mon now, did they really do it for you?
I know it was romantical, I know you still have pictures of you and Lappy on your nightstand, and I know your Palffy Jersey is gathering dust next to your Y2K T-shirt...
But now is not the time.
There are a multitude of fresh new faces out there, with equal to, or greater than abilities to boot.
They will win your hearts, or piss you right off just the same...
more dick for the puck bunnies, and more analysis for the hockey nerds.
New Sweaters to buy, New Autographs to get, and yes...even a new picture for your nightstand.
I implore you,
Let it go. It's time to move on.
