Mr. EE is most likely going to cost us last place and, statistically, best shot at getting the #1 lottery pick. Unless he does a complete meltdown in these last four games or however many he winds up playing.
So, I ask ye, based on what we've seen so far in EE's play, do you think Ersberg is equal to or greater than Stamkos?
I have to say based on what I've seen so far that the answer is yes (jus' call me Captain Obvious).

Ersberg will cost the Kings Stamkos, then he will sign somewhere else where he will backstop his team to the cup.
Down the road, the Kings resulting draft pick will be a bust.
Stamkos will also lead his team to the cup.
There will be much crying.

Now, now. Look at the bright side. At least us Kings fans would be able to say we had a legit #1 G for around 14 games or so.

and then we will go in penalty box and feel shame...
Gotta feel for DL on this one. Does he make an offer good enough for EE to stay, EE signs and winds up being the nexy Jamie Storr or, does he let EE walk and the guy maintains and/or elevates his level of play and we start the "Fire Lombardi" threads.
I said yes because I've only seen that one YouTube clip of his "OMG! STaMKoS GoAL LoOk WhAT i FOUnD!!" skills competition goal that's posted here every two weeks or so...
And Ersberg wouldn't be fooled by that goal anyway, he'd stop it with style:

Jamie Storr never played this well as a NHL'er. There is nothing wrong with hoping E will be the next top 5 goalie in the NHL as a King..
Winning these games at the end of the season is pointless, but you folks that think it builds some kind of momentum heading into next season should feel free to continue with your delusion.
Maybe Ersberg is the solution, but playing well the last three weeks of the season for a team that has been out of the playoff hunt since Thanksgiving doesn't really mean jack.
