About This Page: This is a discussion on LA Kings Talk within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. The Russians should be there and I also think Ellis will be in LA
and these players vying for them, some bodies will end up in Manchester
Boyle
Purcell
Moulson
Richardson
Ellis
B. Murray
Zeiler
barring some major upstaging, the bottom two will almost certainly be in Manchester... i could also see Brady getting moved in a deal. i have a sneaky suspicion they are going to move a forward soon.
the only real gamble here is who they are willing to lose via waivers. i know for a fact that they didn't anticipate losing Jeff Cowan a couple of years ago, so...
as far as the terrific three are concerned, i see an unpopular business decision being made in order to avoid any sticky waivers situation between the end of camp and a necessary recall due to injury sometime in the season.

even though i'm not sure about Richardson's waiver status, i still have to agree with you. it really does seem like the most probable choice... sending Purcell down.

I wasn't sure about Richardson's status either until I finally looked it up.
According to 13.4 of the CBA a 23 year old player like Richardson is EXEMPT from waivers if he's signed to the NHL 3 years prior and played 60 games.
Man... why can't they just finally **** can Armstrong and then move Calder to whomever will take him for whatever they would give up for him?
would moving the Gabe Gauthiers and Trevor Lewises of the world upwards in the shuttle chain be the right thing to do? i could understand making a move with either one of those two (Calder and Armstrong), but designating both for the sole purpose of ensuring that all of the young players have a spot without a strong support tweener could prove to become much more problematic for both clubs in the long run.
Moulson is probably much more suited for 3/4 line duty than Purcell is and Richardson has already proven capable in that role and still stands the potential to play higher. Teddy is a scorer with enormous potential who also happens to have the knock right now of needing to get bigger and add some sand paper to his game. otherwise that skill isn't going to translate consistently over a larger sample size than we've seen.
all of this, of course, will be played out in camp. the only one i think is probably firmly slated is Boyle.
If he makes the team out of camp I certainly won't complain.
Me neither but i rather wanted to point out that in every propsed Manchester team for next season he was missing. Which i found quite odd since he is one of our more promising prospects and i'm really looking forward what he can do in the pro ranks.
Having said that i expect him to play at least a full season in the minors before beeing able to challenge for an NHL roster spot. Therefore i would add him to the Monarchs roster.

Oscar falls under the ineligible list because he was drafted out of the CHL. It's either the WHL or the NHL for him.
I think he'll benefit from spending one more year in Juniors. He'll finally be the man with the Bruins now that leading scorer Mark Santorelli is expected to move on and Oscar should play a bigger role for Team Sweden in this winter's WJC U-20 tourney.

Ahh, you're right. I was probably blinded by the signing of Moeller by the Kings and went on from there. Forgot about his age.

This season will be his 4th and he's played in 145 NHL games.
Catch-ya later Ted!
I don't think you need to know his contract details or the rules of the CBA to figure out where Richardson is playing next year. DL gave up a 2nd rounder (which was a high one at that if I recall correctly) in a deep draft for this guy. I have a hard time believing he did this to fill a roster spot in Manchester.
