He had a killer start, and I don't know that LA would even consider moving the guy, but I will tell you that I am 100% certain that the Oilers made a seriously enticing offer prior to the start of the season and may re-visit this at some point. The Sens have also inquired I am told although any Cammy trade would happen in the summer
Can we get him back on the ice so his trade value increases!
The Oilers?
For whom? What? Gagner and a pick?
And a Rob Blake update:
Rob Blake: San Jose (e3), Detroit (e3), Buffalo (e2), Calgary (e2), Boston (e3)
You know this means Rob doesn't wind up with ANY of these teams. HELLO ANAHEIM!!!!
That would be an ugly trade. Already had Garon here, JLB iis going just as good or better than Garon was in a Kings uni. We could get more than that for Cammy, especially stuff that fits out needs. And Edmonton would rather keep Garon since Roloson has been next to horrible and is like pushing 40.
- Will also want Johnson and Kopitar gone in 2 years so we can get those coveted draft picks - who will be gone in 5 years after that so we can get more coveted draft picks.
Building from within is a great idea and it's finally working for the Kings, but then you want to start trading away the pieces that you have built with no guarantee you can rebuild that piece again.
I hope dean lombardi isn't this stupid but I wouldn't be surprised.

I think the fans that wouldn't mind if Cammy is traded, pretty much know he is not in the long term plans of this organization. after next year he is going to want big time money, I'd rather pay Handzus 4 million, than give Cammy 5.5 or 6. Cammy is a one dimensional player and a good fit for a 2nd line winger. But he's going to command 1st line money and right now (because he has 1 more year left on his contract) is a better time to deal a healthy Cammy than any.
I love Cammalleri, don't get me wrong but the writing is one the wall. I am sure he sees it, as many of the fans around here do.

There's another option; a rational one that Cammalleri lovers sometimes refuse to admit (not to single ANYONE out):
He's somewhat overrated and he could be used to address other team needs, particularly defense.

Except for the fact that since his injury, Cammy has been completely unmissed. Considering the fact that the Kings are playing their best hockey of the season right now without him, I think he's closer to gone than you realize.
I agree with what you're trying to say here, but it would appear that a pretty good foundation is being built...without Cammy. And if DL can move him for solid players/picks coming back, I say do it. Especially if one of the picks coming back is Edmonton's 2008 1st. The Kings would then have a shot at 2 1st round lottery picks. How would that look in a trade for Hossa or a solid legit #2 center?
I think DL is still in asset acquisition mode. If Cammy can be turned into more assets, then I think DL would consider it.
I do not want Cammy traded. He seems to be the most clear cut leader that this team has. That said, I think trading Cammy is much more of a reality than most around here want to believe. Cammy seems like a player who wants to play in a big hockey market, and he sounds like he will test the free agent market when he is a UFA.
The fact of the matter is that Cammy's contract will be up next summer which is probably around the same time that we will see the rebuild start pay off. It would behoove DL to move Cammy now, while he can get a great return rather than watch him walk for nothing.
