Reign wins 7-1 against the Thunder. King had an assist, Hogeboom had a goal, assist and Pelech was +1. The Reign scored FIVE! Powerplay goals. King and Pelech each fought in the game.
Did anybody else go to the STH event in Lake Elsinore? It was pretty fun... all the players doing their meet & greet thing...
Coach Taylor offered to sign my five-month old to a contract on the spot. My one-year old followed the dragon around everywhere he went, pulling on his tail. Two free hot dogs per ticket... since I was representin' four tickets, I ate well...
We went and got the team to sign a stick, we thought it would take a whole season of Bostons meet and greets to get it done, now it's just maintenance on when some juniors come up.
Reign were scoreless against Thunder and lose 3-0. Pelech had another fight. Pretty nice since I don't believe the Reign had an enforcer last season and Walker was the only one willing to drop the gloves for the team. Unless you want to mention Starling.
On a side note, I went to the Laker game at CBB last night. I wore my Reign jersey, thinking I'd see at least a few of those... no. No, I was the only douche not wearing Lakers gear in the entire building.
I was so conspicuous, though, that as I was walking to the john in the San Manual club I hear, "Hey, nice jersey". I turned around and coach Taylor gave me a laugh and a high five. He was there with his kid... looked like they were having a good time. I've never found coach Taylor to be anything other than extremely personable and great to interact with.
coach is awesome! during the kings rookie camp he gave me a few pucks and shoveled snow on me from the ice saying it was warm outside
Taking my son to the season opener on Friday night for his 15th birthday. He plays for the California Stars Club out of Ontario and has met several of the players on and off the ice. I can't say enough good things about the Reign and what they have done for youth hockey in the inland empire and Southern California in general.
The Reign lost their home opener in front of 8,067 rowdy fans at Citizens Business Bank Arena. They were atrocious on the power play as always. I'm not sold on this new goalie, Darling. But hey, we got glowing thunderstix!
