In a game of two upper echelon clubs Lethbridge came out flying. Forward DKing scored one goal and had an assist in the 5-2 route over the Regina Pats. King had one of his better games as he dished out some heavy hits and made some good plays with the puck. For his effort King was named the first star of the game.
PS Draft eligible prospect Luca Sbisa took off with the puck 3-4 times going end to end and nearly scoring on a couple of occasions. He's looking more like an offensive PCoffey all the time. Plus Sbisa is playing a good,tough game leveling forwards with good checks. His overall game is really rounding into shape...Hope the Kings draft this kid...
King is having a great year - he is scoring at a point a game clip and has already doubled his goal ouput from last year. King is listed at 6'3" 218 and he doesn't even turn 19 until July. He could end up being
6'5" 235.
Kyle Woodlief at Redline Report had good things to say about defenseman prospect Sbisa. Maybe the Kings could take him with the Dallas pick..as I think he could go in the first round.
With all the callups to LA one has to think there is some activity on the trade front. I think the likes of KCalder,SThornton,DArmstrong,BWillsie,RBlake,JModr y,TPriessing... all heading out the door. Hope like hell DLombardi gets the Kings some more top draft picks or at least a few more second rounders...BBoyle and MMoulson proves the kids are all right and ready...

DL stated that when getting picks, he may be getting picks in 2009, since they have a boatload of 2008 picks. Rather than picks, I hope he gets more prospects from teams in the upcoming deals - just like he got O'Sullivan and Johnson...albeit it would be tough to get prospects as good as O'Sullivan and Johnson, but hell, he was able to get them!
