So here’s the thing, if you are the Los Angeles Kings or the Toronto Maple Leafs, it is probably in your best interest – speaking big picture, that is – to lose the remainder of your games.

It would be better for both teams – and probably Florida, Tampa Bay and Buffalo, too – if they just gave up on this year and did everything in their power to get the top pick in the 2008 Entry Draft; in all likelihood Steven Stamkos.

That's a losers mentality. The kings organization should be expecting Stanley Cups, not first overall drafts or just being happy making the playoffs.

I say no to just losing for the sake of losing. If they lose putting 100% effort, like last night, then ok.

I have a feeling that the Kings are going to have a lower probability of winning the lottery than some of us has hoped for unless Lombardi starts dismantling this thing quick. The vets are starting to play better, the kids are taking their games up a notch, and Toronto and Tampa Bay look like they are ready to lay down.

I disagree with this mentality. I'm fine with .300 winning percentage for the rest of the year, but only if it's not intentionally.

IF Toronto and Tampa fall ahead of us, we could still pick Schenn. And I would love that to happen.

Florida and Buffalo? I HIGHLY doubt they will go this way.
