What is with this place lately? Jesus, there's the group that feel DL can do no wrong and that the rebuild is "on schedule" constantly arguing, with more and more personal attacks I'm noticing, with the DL can do no right group.
Let me break it down for you very simply:
DL is doing the right thing with a complete rebuild. He has done some great things but will tell you he is behind schedule and had no plans or desire to have this team in last place in the league this year. His poor FA signings don't mean he should be fired, but they do mean he can be questioned, whether some of you like it or not.
HOWEVER
The team was not supposed to be contending for anything this year, and hard as it is to watch your team lose, it is certainly no reason, at this point to go crazy with a list of firings that must happen.
This place used to be funny, no matter how bad the Kings were.
Here's the problem: If Dean didn't tell all of us LAST YEAR that he was trying to make the playoffs rather than just say "we're rebuilding. Period", then it would be okay.
But he didn't.
If Dean has said THIS YEAR that we'd be rebuilding, we'd be okay with it. But he didn't. Payroll is high and we're in last place
I just heard this conversation on XM radio yesterday but it was about the Leafs. What team in their right mind is going to tell their season seat holders that they are rebuilding. You can't say, "Well we plan on losing a LOT in the next 2-3 years and it's part of the plan".
The good news is that we are 2 years ahead of the Leafs on the rebuild.

Any STH with a pulse knew what they were buying this year - myself included. I certainly don't feel "pwned" by AEG. I wouldn't have renewed this year if I thought that was the case.
I agree with the plan. I have NHL hockey 4 miles from my home. Staples is one of the nicest buildings in the NHL to see a game in. I guess I'm supposed to feel something I'm not.
