About This Page: This is a discussion on LA Kings Talk within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. If there's not at least three identical threads, then the subject probably isn't worth a ****.
The situation you described was clear and concise, the grammar was impeccable, and the post as a whole was objective. The link you provided gave solid credibility to your claims.
This is why I visit LGK. I visit for the breaking news. I will check back continually for your brilliant updates.
I agree.
I found this review on one of the online hotel sites, I couldn't get the link to work right (the review must be 4-5 years old) but lit ooks legit.
Wow!
We just returned from a fabulous getaway weekend at the Super 8 and can't wait to return again! The hotel is gorgeous inside and out, and the overall experience is of a Four Seasons-caliber in terms of quality and service. The rooms were recently redecorated and exude casual elegance. The are immaculate (housekeeping is fabulous) and comfortable. Roomy, too. The view from our John Denver Suite was to die for. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The main pool is large with plenty of comfortable lounge chairs and lots of room to frolic. There is a walking path open to the public below the pool area, above the gardens, and it offers spectacular views, with plenty of benches on which to enjoy it all. (The public aspect of the paths is a non-issue.) The casual restaurant was very good . But we especially enjoyed the more exclusive restaurant. The service throughout was consistently excellent and the hotel is extremely well staffed, from the bell station to the front desk to the restaurants. My one complaint was the dated technology for watching movies, they still have a VCR rather than a DVD player. On the other hand the hotel carried a fine selection of current adult fare on the PPV channels.
We were made to feel very comfortable at the Super 8 as my buddy was nursing a sore knee and his dry Scandinavian complexion required lots of TLC. We especially enjoyed the couples-only Swedish deep tissue massage. I was also appreciative of the reasonable expense for all of this. I recently had a financial setback at work and needed to budget wisely. We are hoping to return. You can't go wrong here!

Most people don't have jobs that include union representation.
Those fortunate enough to have jobs with union representation typically don't garner a seven figure income.
Pro athlete's jobs are in a fish bowl where media attention can be called upon at the drop of a hat and an ear to chew on can be had to bitch about their employer. To take these complaints to the press like this is out of line. It's not like he's being subjected to breathing toxic fumes or asbestos or some other **** that can have severe long term heath effects, or even NOT being compensated for his work, or lack of work at times in this matter.
I love sports - sometimes too much. This is one of the times I cannot stand sports - when an athlete starts to whine to someone that can spread his message like wildfire about whatever issue he has that should really be handled behind closed doors with his employer.
Cloutier is weak ****ing sauce for pulling this garbage and I cannot wait to see him get the hell out of L.A.
You're right, he's generalizing something that most likely gets said to a lot of players. You know, giving the general jist of the conversation. You're reading into the quote a tone which the reporter suggests through the article that Cloutier may not actually have used.
Quote:
Like you said, nothing bad, just how he feels, but when said to a reporter its callled publicly disrespecting your organization.
How is it disrespectful to say "I thought" as in to himself or that's how he felt? That is not disrespect. That's just him expressing the frustration he was feeling with his situation.

Actually a true pro is not supposed to say everything that comes to his mind when it comes to his mind. I know it might look unfair to you, democracy and all, but that's how it is - semi military stuff. Stick together while you are getting the paycheck from the same organization.
