About This Page: This is a discussion on LA Kings Talk within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. The Hockey News: Mark Seidel's Blog Revamped draft rankings, Pt. 4 (15-30)
Who would you take from this list? Or, if you've got any better ideas, throw
23 – James Livingston; RW, Sault Ste. Marie – Big specimen has made a huge leap from last year and is a personal favorite. Has a chance to become a special player
Hopefully the last of the Staal brothers comes to us. I've never seen him play, but I like his size. And obviously he has a great gene pool. Maybe someone else knows a little about him.
Off topic, but damnit Deano, you've got to get another top 5 pick and get Schenn.
"7 – Luke Schenn; RD, Kelowna
One of the most pleasant surprises of the WJC was the play of Schenn throughout the event. He was a mild surprise to be included on Canada’s roster, but he proved to be a wise choice, as he parlayed that selection into an outstanding tournament and a jump into my top 10.
He is a prototypical WHL defenseman – he punishes the opponents at every turn, while having a very solid game across the board. Schenn will never lead the league in points, but he makes solid decisions and takes care of his own end well.
He will have a solid NHL career that may not feature many SportsCenter highlights, but will help a team win consistently."
He has him rated at #7, but I believe he's gone by the #5 pick. A big defensive d-man that will drop the gloves and play 25+ minutes a game is EXACTLY what the Kings need.

Oh, it's just my package, yeah just ah just ah my package, God delivered it I signed for it the world keeps on spinnin', yeah. - The great Stewie Griffin, talking to himself in the mirror as he gets ready for his babysitter to arrive.
24 – Tyler Beskorawany; G, Owen Sound – A former 14th rounder in the OHL draft, he has been unbelievable for Owen Sound despite a lack of exposure. Won’t go this high, but remember his name down the road.
28 – Jared Staal; RW, Sudbury – The last of the Staal brothers and again, think of him as a 22-year-old at 220 pounds. He’s smart, has good stick skills and is averaging a point a game for the rebuilding Wolves.
I vote defenseman Colby Robak, if he's available. People who saw him at the prospects game were very impressed. Kyle Woodlief at Redline Report said he's vastly improved form last year and has added 15 pounds of muscle:
"Robak was on our radar from last season as a player to watch, but he's really exceeded all expectations this season. His size, skating, and two-way ability have him steadily climbing on our list. The big rearguard has added more than 15 pounds of muscle since last season, and his skating has actually improved over that same time frame. However, the biggest improvement has been seen in his puck ability. While he doesn't project to be an offensive defenseman, he's been making good decisions with the puck and moving it confidently. "

__________________ Don't fire Crawford YET. If we fire him, we may get a coach that could elevate this team to 20th overall in the league...and we'd be screwed in the draft again. Let's take full advantage of Crawford's ability to get us Stamkos!!
