Default CHL Thread 2009-10 - Kings Prospects

Hello everyone,

After another summer that was just way too long, I'm glad to start up the Major Junior thread for the upcoming CHL season. Lots of changes from last year, so see Post #3 for all of the players in the CHL thread from 2008-09, plus all of the 2009 draft picks out of the CHL. Noted is who went unsigned or assigned to Manchester or makes the Kings, which is highly unlikely this season. Post #1 includes only those players that will be playing in the CHL this season (09-10).

You really think Nolan will be sent to Manch? Has he aged out of juniors? Haven't read much on him except for a few comments people made about him at camp

Nolan and Kolomatis are 20 years old. Both can probably play as overagers, but that will also depend on how many 20 years olds are already on their respective teams. I think each team is only allowed to carry 2 or 3 20-year-olds.

As to your first post, yes, I fully expect Hickey and Loktionov to be on the Manchester roster this season. Teubert, however, is 19 and can only play for the Kings or the Regina Pats... and he ain't making the Kings roster out of camp.

Ahh thanks for clarifying. But what doesn't make sense to me is how could Teubert play 8 games in the ECHL at the end of last year but can't play in the AHL this year? Weird...

But I think he really needs more time in Juniors. From what most people have said, he has just been terrible this camp

I didn't realize that we had 2 20 year olds in our 2009 class.

Pelech to Manchester?? He'll be 20 on 10/06/09, but would have thought he'd be sent back to the OHL. Interesting.

Will be fun to see what Loktionov does in Manchester. I've been threatening to hit the east coast for the last couple season. I really need to stop making excuses and get over there this year.

Nice to see Holloway back in Manchester, and congrats to Geoff Walker for the promotion from Ontario to Manchester. Good luck to both as they'll need to play consistently hard to stay there.

oh... and cnshockey: once a junior player finishes his CHL season, he's allowed to sign a tryout contract in the AHL or ECHL. That is only to finish out the AHL or ECHL season, but they cannot be a full-time roster player in those leagues until they are 20... or about to turn 20, as in the case of Michael Pelech.

Ah thanks rob. Makes sense I guess.

Really hope Wudrick has a good year. Him and Clifford on the 3rd line would just be beastly!
