I guess this is the appropriate time to make note of the fact that there's now a very real possibility the Kings will wind up picking 3rd. No Stamkos. No Doughty.

This ****hole of a season for 3rd? **** that.

Say we pick 2nd, is there a chance TB takes a dman because they are pretty loaded up front? And if the Kings pick a dman I'd rather have Scheen then Doughty..

Really? do you know who Tampa's second line center is?

was ATL "loaded up front" because they had Kovy and Hossa?

If you want Schenn over Doughty, you need your ****ing head examined. That's gotta be the single dumbest thing posted on here. Worse than a Stamkos Kings jersey.

Their D prospects are better than their centers.

Did we ever get a clear reason as to why the US didn't have Pieterangelo playing for them in WJC?? I know Doughty is the consensus best defenseman available and also won best defenseman in the WJC, but I can't help but wonder how Pieterangelo compares, given that I haven't seen him play.

The whole point of finishing 30th was to ensure that we got Stamkos or Doughty. Now we have to hope that no team other than the Kings that finishes in the bottom five wins the lottery.

If we drop to 3rd overall, we are not getting a player that will be in the Kings' lineup next season.

Bogosian > Pietrangelo > Schenn

The real question, I think, is Bogosian or Doughty? Thats a tough call. I really like the size and hard play of Bogosian, but you cant deny that Doughty has more skill.

Depending what happens in the lottery, we are either going to end up with Stamkos, Doughty, Bogosian, Pietrangelo or Schenn. Our story is going to have a happy ending folks.

Well I thought he was from King City, Ontario so that could be one reason. Perhaps he has dual citizenship?

There is a certain pecking order to the WJC rosters. Only a few draft eligible players make it every year because the older kids need a shot. Doughty and Schenn were taken because they are the best at their respective roles.
