I believe the 10 games have to be NHL games according to the CBA...

Because of the agreement between the NHL and CHL, Bernier can't be assigned to Manchester until his Junior team's season ends...

Tukonen might just see his EL contract get extended by one season because of the 10 games having to be NHL games. Not sure, but I've heard some rumblings about that recently...

Ah, okay. I know that CHL players can't play in the AHL until either their season is over or they complete their service, but in the event that the season is over and they happen to play 10 games in the AHL, I thought maybe that would affect their contract status. You're probably right though.
